Dean
A. Getz founded Axiom, then a limited liability
company, in March of 2001. Today, Axiom Advisors
and Consultants, "the corporation" still
known simply as "Axiom" annually serves
more than 500 of California's school districts,
county offices and educational associations. Axiom
serves California's public education with emphasis
on: public relations materials, fiscal and curricular
data management and reporting.
Dean started his career
in school finance and consulting in 1995, by assisting
schools with their mandated cost claims. This
experience eventually led Dean to form his own
firm that he later merged with auditing powerhouse—Vavrinek,
Trine, Day & Co., LLP in 1998. By 2001, Dean
led the this hugely successful mandate preparation
practice was spun off from Vavrinek, Trine, Day
& Co. to become a separate company, Centration,
Inc.
While at Vavrinek, Trine, Day & Co, Dean
offered the first professionally prepared School
Accountability Report Card to school districts,
and thus, an industry was born. Through Dean's
vision of offering "universal platforms"
which bolster universal cutting-edge data manipulation
and analysis, Dean has been able to secure partnerships
with two highly respected school organizations:
California School Boards Association for the SARCSelect™
family of products and School Services of California
for the Bargaining
Hunter™ application.
Today, Dean through Axiom and its partners are
leading the charge for delivering the latest methods
of reporting and evaluating the status and condition
of California's public schools. Dean, a well-known
expert in the mandated cost claim preparation
arena continues to leverage his entrepreneurial
skills by focusing on introducing timesaving and
cost-effective products and services to the cost
conscientious public school system. A California
native, Dean holds a Bachelor of Science from
California State University, Sacramento.
